Greetings to the Hanwha family!

A new dawn has risen on Hanwha Group’s 70^th anniversary. Looking back at the past 70 years of Hanwha, we have evolved in tandem with global industrial development, pioneering through the many hurdles along the way. Ever since our founding, we have sought to tread the path that others cannot or dare not travel as we simultaneously foster social growth and prosperity through our business. Even at this very moment, we are boldly persevering in our journey, taking on challenges with an increased sense of responsibility and loftier dreams.

We have weathered crises, both big and small, but through Hanwha’s spirit of “trust and loyalty,” we have been able to overcome adversities and soar ever higher. Above all, the biggest driving force behind Hanwha’s growth into the global company that it is today has been the dedication of the entire Hanwha family to upholding and strengthening the Hanwha spirit. Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to each and every member of the Hanwha family who has supported us every step of the way to take us to where we are today.

Now, Hanwha looks ahead to what's in store for the next century. While the last 70 years are an invaluable asset, we must leave yesterday’s Hanwha behind and continue to evolve. Only then can we stay true to our path as we move forward. Hanwha must continue to pursue sustainable innovation to create a new paradigm, even if it means completely re-thinking the methods that have brought us success thus far.

We are living in an era which demands that companies reflect on their reason for being. For Hanwha to reach 100 years, we must become a company with a relentless commitment to sustainability by embracing challenges to grow together with the community and providing transformative solutions for all.

We continue to innovate to enhance our business, as exemplified by our recent reorganization. While our immediate goal is to become a world-class green energy leader and global top-tier total defense company, we aren't stopping there. We are looking beyond to the thrilling future that awaits us.

The markets and our customers are eagerly anticipating our newest innovations and waiting to see the next challenge we will take on. We must continue down our path, innovating in each area of our business, from financial services, inseparable from the everyday lives of our customers, to chemicals, energy, and aerospace, connected to the future we dream of. Together, we can create an even better Hanwha for tomorrow.

As Hanwha heads down the path of innovation towards the next 100 years, nothing is more important than our outstanding employees and compliance and ethics management.

This past weekend marked the first time in three years that Hanwha’s fireworks festival lit up the skies over Seoul. It is our deepest wish that the future that unfolds before us will be even brighter and more beautiful than those fireworks.
