Painting can have a profound and beneficial effect on special-needs children. As a therapeutic activity, it can help these children develop their cognitive abilities and hand-eye coordination. - Hanwha Q CELLS GmbH Hanwha Q CELLS Introduces Options that Make Solar Power Adoption More Affordable
Solar power is becoming more popular with each passing year in Germany. However, many mid-sized German businesses find themselves shying away from photovoltaics because of the upfront costs. To address this, Hanwha Q CELLS offers these businesses the chance to sign up for either Power Contracting or Plant Lease.
These are two innovative ways for businesses to adopt clean solar energy without the need for large capital and labor investments. They also provide a way for Hanwha Q CELLS to decentralize energy production and provide solar power to more people at lower rates.
If a business opts for Power Contracting, it signs a supply contract to purchase a set amount of electricity directly from Hanwha Q CELLS. The company will then install a solar power system on the business premises at no expense to the customer. Surplus electricity will be fed into the electrical grid and sold to other consumers by Hanwha Q CELLS. Production shortfalls, on the other hand, will be made up from other renewable energy sources located throughout Germany and Austria.
“With Power Contracting, we offer companies a complete solution for the clean and cost-effective procurement of electricity with solar energy,” says Madlen Apel, Team Leader, Energy Solutions, at Hanwha Q CELLS.
Through Plant Lease, a business can lease and operate a Hanwha Q CELLS solar power system. Under the terms of the lease, Hanwha Q CELLS will sell any surplus electricity to other buyers and make up for shortfalls with electricity from other renewable sources.
Because this leasing arrangement is regarded as self-consumption in Germany, the business will qualify for reduced levies under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). While leasing the solar power system, the business will only have to pay EUR 0.027 per kilowatt hour rather than EUR 0.068 per kilowatt hour.
“Businesses that have solar power systems installed on their properties can reduce their electricity costs significantly,” says Maengyoon Kim, Head of EU Sales at Hanwha Q CELLS. “They are less affected by fluctuating power grid costs while also helping reduce global carbon emissions and fight against climate change.”
