- Hanwha Q CELLS Australia Hanwha Q CELLS Australia’s Arcstream Simplifies Solar Energy
At the beginning of February, Hanwha Q CELLS Australia joined the Australian energy retailer market with the launch of Arcstream, a total energy solution aiming to make buying solar power easier.
First-time solar power purchasers can be overwhelmed by the volume of information available online, quickly getting discouraged or frustrated. Before investing in solar energy, they need to understand what will work for them, what system they need, how much to spend, and so on.
Hanwha Q CELLS Australias Arcstream presents a stress-free option, bundling solar energy and storage for a flat, monthly subscription fee. Arcstream empowers consumers with energy abundance and grows the solar market. The fully-integrated energy solution includes premium Q CELLS solar panels, Q CELLS newest battery storage Q.HOME CORE, and a 100% green Virtual Power Plant (VPP) energy plan.
Launching as part of the innovative Solar Victoria VPP Pilot Program, the Arcstream 100% Green VPP has been selected as one of just a handful of approved programs, offering consumers an easy, end-to-end solution.
The company aims to change peoples relationship to energy by offering solar systems and services that free everyone from cumbersome power costs and the fear of over-consumption. By making it easier to buy solar, Hanwha Q CELLS Australia converts uncertain prospects into participants in the green energy market.
- Hanwha Energy Retail Australia Pty Ltd Nectr: How Energy is Meant to “Bee”
Recently, Nectr, Hanwha Energy Retail Australia Pty Ltd, received several Mozo Experts Choice Awards for Energy. The awards recognize energy providers offering the best and most affordable solutions across a wide range of categories.
Exactly 842 products from 47 retailers were analyzed as part of this years selection process. Nectr was awarded for Nectr Clean, its 100% carbon-neutral plan, in the categories of “Electricity,” “Green Electricity,” and “Solar-friendly Electricity” for Queensland and the “Green Electricity” category for New South Wales. In addition, Nectr received 4 out of 5 stars in Greenpeaces 2022 Green Electricity Guide. The guide encourages consumers to switch to greener providers to transform Australias electricity system.
In February 2022, Nectr successfully expanded into the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), bringing affordable, carbon-neutral, 100% green power plans to the region. The capital city in Australia, Canberra, is the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to purchase its energy from 100% renewable sources.
In early March, Nectr launched its first brand-awareness television campaign in New South Wales, Queensland, and ACT. The campaign, “How Energy is Meant to Bee,” focuses on bees role in the environment, tapping into the relationship between bees and nectar. Aiming to increase brand and top-of-mind awareness, the ad takes a humorous tone, portraying a social movement featuring bees as humans in costumes. Running for five weeks, the ads appear on free-to-air and video-on-demand networks as well as on Facebook, Instagram, and Google.
Finally, the Gregadoo and Jindera solar farms under the Hanwha Energy Australia group plan to move into their EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) phases in 2022. The Gregadoo and Jindera solar farms will generate 163 megawatts of power at peak capacity with approximately 380,000 solar panels. Nectr aims to provide clean energy to up to 65,000 homes in the near future, firmly cementing its stance on using renewable energy sources to supply power to its customers.

- Hanwha Total Pertrochemical Daesan Complex Hanwha Total Petrochemical Transforms Parking Lot for Solar Power
Hanwha Total Petrochemical successfully installed and began operation of a solar power generation facility in the parking lot of its Daesan plant. Canopying 4,650m2 of parking lots, the 653-kWp capacity generator can produce up to 858 MWh of power a year, or the same amount consumed by about 240 households annually.
The panels double as protection for vehicles, installed above parking spaces in a roof-style manner. The installation is expected to reduce 400 tons of CO₂ emissions per year by replacing fossil-fuel-based power sources with solar energy.
The solar panels will supply power to an array of plant buildings near the parking lots, including the administrative office, cafeteria, and research wing. The new infrastructure is projected to offer KRW 82 million in annual energy savings for the company. Hanwha Total Petrochemical is eager to unlock more opportunities to implement carbon-neutral optimizations across plant operations.

- Hanwha Techwin Middle East Hanwha Techwin Shines at Expo 2020 and Online
As Expo 2020 Dubai prepares to wrap up at the end of March 2022, Hanwha Techwin Middle East is thrilled to have participated in the event, supplying and installing approximately 9,000 camera solutions across various pavilions and event halls.
The KSA Pavilion, one of Expo 2020 Dubais largest and most popular buildings, utilized Hanwha Techwins state-of-the-art solutions. The Romania Pavilion, DP World, and EXPO Food Hall also leveraged Hanwha Techwin technology.
In addition, the company held an online seminar to promote its advanced solutions further. The exclusive “Video Foundation Course“ ran from March 14th to 17th, covering a variety of topics, including imaging hardware, cybersecurity, and camera types. BICSI, Building Industry Consulting Service International, recognizes the 4-part course as a part of BICSI Continuing Education Credits (7 CEC).

- Pinetree Securities Pinetree Securities Launches Vietnams 1st Community-based Investment App
In February 2022, the PineX mobile app was introduced as part of Pinetree Securities digital financial strategy, offering the first stock trading solution in Vietnams securities market that allows beginner investors to digitally connect with friends and experts in the community.
When users sign up for PineX, they can follow friends and popular investors and share ideas within the investor community. This community feature differentiates PineX from other stock trading apps in Vietnam. PineX creates an inclusive and educational place for beginners, helping them learn from senior investors and gradually build their confidence.
PineX informs users by sharing the market moves and portfolios of other investors to help them make better investing decisions. Users can follow each other and look at profiles to see which stocks friends and experts are buying and selling. Users can also participate in investing events and read daily stock-related news in-app.
PineXs additional “Investing Themes” feature allows users to tailor their portfolios according to their interests. Top keywords searched and top watching stock filters let users know which stocks are receiving the most and least interest from other traders.
The company plans to add a chat feature that allows users to private message and create chat groups with other investors in a future update. Pinetree Securities will continue to grow the PineX app to become an even more user-friendly and easy-to-use trading application for all.
- Hanwha Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) Hanwha Life Vietnam Taps into Youthful Energy
Hanwha Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) partnered with the prestigious University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (USSH) to collaborate a content-creation contest among young people titled “YOUNG ENERGY–Who will be LIME Ambassadors? ”
Only three of the most enthusiastic finalists will be selected to become a LIME Ambassador following a written test to assess social media knowledge and writing skills. Available to young people 18 to 30 years old across the country, the contest feature four main writing categories regarding quality of life, or wellness, including “Inspirational Motivation,” “Mental Health,” “Physical Fitness,” and “Financial Wellbeing.” The contest empowers writers to tell personal stories, focusing on movements for positive change.
Officially launched in December 2021, hundreds of entries from more than 20 universities across the country have been submitted. The contest attracted more than 10,000 interactions on social media, 83% higher than the original plan. On the LIME application platform, entries have received more than 7,000 likes and attracted nearly 6,000 new app downloads.
The topics of “Inspirational Motivation” and “Mental Health” garnered the most submissions, accounting for 64% of all entries. As Van Anh shared in her submission, “Let's take care of our mental health. Please love yourself because all love in this life begins with a love for yourself.”
As the other two categories demonstrate, Gen Z has a unique view on personal finance and fitness. Contest entrants share a multi-dimensional perspective on personal finances, from planning to saving money to developing skills to find better job opportunities or invest. In addition, young people show great interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and keeping their bodies strong enough to enjoy what life has to offer.
