- Sino-Korea Life Insurance Sino-Korea Life Insurance Spotlights the Art of Autistic Students in “10,000 Suns” Exhibition
Sino-Korea Life Insurance was one of the joint hosts of the “10,000 Suns” public-art exhibition – titled “From Dunhuang to Fuchun” – held at the Gongwang Art Museum in Fuyang, Hangzhou City, China. Among the hundreds of paintings displayed on the museum’s walls were works by autistic students from special schools in Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shanghai and Jiu Quan. They were included to highlight the difficulties autistic people have with traditional expression.
Sino-Korea Life Insurance is a long-time supporter of students on the autism spectrum. It regularly purchases artwork from students and compiles them into calendars that are distributed to raise awareness of autism and the students special needs. It also donates art supplies so that the students can continue expressing themselves through drawings and paintings.
“By forming friendships with these students, were growing alongside them and raising public awareness so that they will be accepted as equals by others,” Wenchao Gui, General Manager at Sino-Korea Life Insurance said to a gathered audience during the exhibition.
- Sino-Korea Life Insurance Open for Business: Sino-Korea Life Insurance Celebrates Fifth Branch in Burgeoning Jiangsu Province
In August of 2020, Sino-Korea Life Insurance celebrated the opening of its newest branch in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Attendees at the opening ceremony were presented with the screening of a promotional video and remarks by Jianfu Wang, the new branch’s CEO.
The newly opened branch is Sino-Korea Life Insurance’s fifth since the company entered the region in 2016. As China’s second-largest insurance market, Jiangsu Province is an important part of the company’s national expansion strategy. The company will especially be focused on growing its presence in Changzhou, which is a major industrial and technological hub.
“The establishment of our branch office in Changzhou is a very important step for Sino-Korea Life Insurance,” said Jung-geun Song, Assistant General Manager and COO of Sino-Korea Life Insurance during the event. “Its especially meaningful because we were the first company allowed to open a new location in Jiangsu Province since the coronavirus outbreak began.”

In August of 2020, Sino-Korea Life Insurances online rewards store gained new functionality. Customers can now access free medical advice from generalists and specialists simply by registering through the company’s official WeChat account. Customers using this service will receive one-on-one service from medical professionals that includes detailed symptom analysis.
Since the rewards store opened in July of 2020, its product catalogue has expanded steadily. Customers can also access medical services such as emergency exams, disease screenings, and outpatient reservations for VIP health checkups.
Customers can also redeem their points for more “regular” products such as towel gift sets, tumblers, and data cables.

- Hanwha Q CELLS GmbH Hanwha Solutions Q CELLS Earns Highest Reputation Seal in Major Study
Hanwha Solutions Q CELLS Division further cemented itself as the world s leading solar-solutions provider by being honored with the “Highest Reputation” seal by Focus Money, a German business magazine.
The “ Highest Reputation” seal was awarded after the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research conducted a major study commissioned by Focus Money and Deutschland Test. The study examined 15.7 million online mentions about more than 5,000 brands in 270 industries to gauge the brands public reputations.
Q CELLS topped the list in the electric industry, earning an “ Outstanding” rating from the study. This was based on the division s commitment to society and sustainability through its business and social-impact activities. The study particularly highlighted Q CELLS efforts to create local jobs and its leading role on global-climate-change action.

- PT. Hanwha Life Insurance Indonesia Hanwha Life Celebrates 75 Years of Independence for Korea and Indonesia with a Timely Care Package
August of 2020 was a momentous occasion for Korea and Indonesia, as both countries commemorated 75 years of independence. To mark this shared anniversary, Hanwha Life Indonesia donated 500 care packages, 1,000 masks, and 1,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to help low-income people affected by COVID-19.
Since its establishment in 2013, Hanwha Life Indonesia has been committed to helping its local communities. The company’s previous social-impact activities include the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space campaign, which created parks and other green spaces in urban areas where children can play safely.
Hanwha Life Indonesia CEO David Yeom personally delivered the donations to the Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control Agency. To avoid large public gatherings, the agency tasked local communities with distributing the donations to low-income people most-affected economically by the pandemic while maintaining government-social-distancing guidelines.
“Im so grateful for the help provided by Hanwha Life Indonesia,” said Tuty Kusumawati, Head of the Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control Agency. “They are truly concerned about the well-being of others, especially children. Hanwha Q CELLS America signed a deal to fully acquire San Francisco-based energy storage software startup Growing Energy Labs, Inc. (Geli). The acquisition signifies Q CELLS first move into the U.S. C&I energy storage space, underscoring its commitment to provide integrated hardware and software energy solutions to its customers nationwide. The transaction is expected to close by Q4 2020.
The acquisition is part of Q CELLS broader vision in becoming a global total energy solutions provider. Geli provides software and business solutions for designing, automating and managing energy storage systems. Its end-to-end digital platform utilizes artificial intelligence to optimize Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sizing and maximize project revenue through powerful data leveraging algorithms.
Geli has its roots in accelerating BESS deployments connected to solar and EV charging infrastructure, while optimizing their use by utilizing existing electricity tariffs and project load profiles. Through its highly sophisticated cloud architecture and IoT technologies, Gelis solutions are adaptable, accounting for a project’s geographic location, market conditions, and hardware setup.

- Hanwha Life Insurance Company Limited (Vietnam) Hanwha Life Helps Vietnamese Children’s Safe Return to School
Since the beginning of 2020, Hanwha Life Vietnam has joined hands with the Vietnamese government to assist health professionals and local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In July, the company launched the “Peaceful Minds for Children” program together with the Vietnam Association for Protection of Children’s Rights, ChildFund Korea, and ChildFund Vietnam. Through this program, Hanwha Life Vietnam has donated 1,000 gift packages to disadvantaged schoolchildren in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nghe An, and Hoa Binh. The packages include school supplies, uniforms, and other items to help the recipients get ready to return to their classrooms.
The program also raises public awareness through a social-media campaign that asks the public to join hands and send good wishes so that disadvantaged children affected by COVID-19 may look forward to brighter futures.
Additionally, the company donated thousands of personal protective equipment sets to health workers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quan Nam, and Quang Nai so that they may protect themselves while dealing with outbreaks in those regions. - Hanwha Life Insurance Company Limited (Vietnam) Hanwha Life Vietnam Working to Improve Customer Experience through Digital Services
In August of 2020, Hanwha Life Vietnam signed strategic-partnership agreements with MoMo E-Wallet and VietUnion (Payoo) to digitize premium-payment channels and improve Hanwha Life Vietnams customer experience and service quality.
The agreements are a part of Hanwha Life Vietnams strategy to streamline its services through digital innovations. Customers will be able to pay their insurance premiums via MoMo and Payoos apps with just a few simple taps on their smartphones.
Additionally, customers have the option to make online payments through Payoos website or make payments at any of the 15,000 convenience stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies linked to Payoos network.
“These agreements with MoMo and Payoo are important steps toward bringing the best convenience to our customers when they pay their insurance premiums,” said Dong Jun Im, CEO of Hanwha Life Vietnam. “We will continue deploying new ways to enrich our customer experience and bring us closer to our customers.”
